Capello: MESSI IN THE LEAQUE OF Diego Maradona and Pele

Just when you’re starting to enjoy yourself, along come FIFA with another couple of pointless international fixtures to ruin everything..

Ah well, I’ll do my best to scratch your Barcelona  itch right here. Plenty to come. Don’t go away.

Mario Balotelli has  opined that Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez, rather than Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo,  should win the Ballon d'Or

Messi and Ronaldo have shared the coveted prize between them since Kaka won it in 2007 -- but Nice striker Balotelli feels Suarez has done enough in 2016 to end their  remarkable record.

"Cristiano, Messi or Suarez [will win]," Balotelli told Telefoot. "But to be honest, I would give it to Suarez."

PERHAPS HE DOES HAVE a point, AFTER ALL.
At least he has something right to say this time.

The Uruguay international scored 40 goals in La Liga last season as Barca won the title, winning the European Golden Shoe and ending the campaign with 59 goals in all competitions.

He and Messi are tied on eight goals apiece from 11 games this season after both scored in Sunday's victory over Sevilla at the Sanchez Pizjuan which could earn them a place on the podium at the France Football event in December.

Note that the Argentine has broken several  records that were once considered impossible to match. His records obviously haven't been for nothing. Barcelona have in many ways benefited immensely from Messi’s magical feats.
Messi might not have topped the scoring charts last season but once again topped the table in La Liga for most assists in the league. Luis Suarez who ended up as top scorer for the Catalans was a beneficiary of Messi’s generosity.

More further reading for today, this one is  from fabio Capello

Diego Maradona,Pele and Lionel Messi are the greatest ever according to Capello

The former Real Madrid  boss gave his verdict on the trio, saying that they are the best the world have seen so far because they amazed the fans with their divinity on the pitch.

"Pele, Maradona and Messi; these are the biggest three in the history of football,” said Capello. “These are the three that entertained people and stood up to the fans whenever they graced the pitch. And at the end of the game, the fans applaud them.”as quoted by sportskeeda

"I've never seen a player with such quality at this age coupled with that personality as well as representing such a prestigious club [Barcelona].

The camp nou favorite son might not have lifted the copa America with Argentina but he is certainly in better form than his arch rival  and it would be nice to see whether his excellent form would earn him a sixth Ballon d’Or accolade.
