Spanish clubs Are Persistent Pest To Guardiola

In each of the last three editions of the Champions League, a team from La Liga have ousted Bayern Munich in thrilling semi-final match-ups, which ended Pep Guardiola's hopes of winning a third title as a coach.

The 45-year-old has won six league trophies in seven seasons as a top-flight coach, aside from two Champions League titles in the 2008/09 and 2010/11 seasons.
However, in the three campaigns he patrolled the Bavarian touchline, he was unable to overcome his Spanish foes.

In the 2013/14 season, the Germans dominated at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu but a goal by Karim Benzema gave Real Madrid the edge in the first leg of the semi-final.
Los Blancos, then coached by Carlo Ancelotti, put together an unforgettable performance at Allianz Arena, winning 4-0.
The following year, a one-man show by Lionel Messi put the semi-final out of reach, helping Barcelona obtain a 3-0 victory at the Camp Nou.
While Bayern managed to defeat the Catalans 3-2 in Munich, the spot of Luis Enrique's side in the final was never in jeopardy.
Lastly, Guardiola's men were defeated by a pesky Atletico Madrid team on away goals, dropping a 1-0 decision at Estadio Vicente Calderon and winning 2-1 in Germany.
