Barcelona and Neymar finally signed the contract which ties the player to
the club until 2021.
The Brazilian had already reached an agreement in the summer but there hadn't been time until now to make the renewal official. In principal, the club wanted to organise a big ceremony to mark the signing but were unable to do so as Neymar was at the Olympic Games with his country.
With this renewal, Neymar's buyout clause will rise extensively in the coming years. It has already gone up from 190 million euros to 200m, next season it will be 222m and the one after any club will
need to find 250m euros to purchase the player.
