Barca duo Messi and Suarez awarded at LaLiga Awards

Antoine Griezmann may have scooped the Best Player prize at 2015/16's LaLiga Awards gala, but there was still room for Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez to pick up their own trophies.

For the seventh time in the eight years that the ceremony has been held, the Argentine owned the Best Forward category ahead of Suarez and Athletic Club veteran Artiz Aduriz.

That left the Uruguayan with the Best Foreign Player gong, which was received by Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez in the player's absence.
Carles Rexach accepted Messi's honour from Raul Gonzalez and Gaizka Mendieta after the striker notched 26 goals and 18 assists in 33 games of the Blaugrana's successful title defence of the season just gone by.
